About OQ8
OQ8 is a 50:50 joint venture between OQ (Oman) and Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI), established in 2012 and headquartered in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD). The company operates one of the most advanced refineries in the Middle East, with a processing capacity of 230,000 barrels per day.
As the region’s first fully merchant refinery, OQ8 sources feedstock from global markets and exports premium-grade fuels to Asia, Africa, and Europe, upholding world-class safety, environmental, and operational standards.
